EARLY PAY OFFS
 
The strategic plan envisages deliverables that will become visible for the three key stakeholders i.e. the subscribers, the employers and the personnel of the EPF. The plan seeks to acquire these deliverables in two stages.

First stage is the early pay offs or quick hits which will become available to the stakeholders within 180 effective days from date of roll out.

Second stage is the near term or medium term deliverables that will put in place the entire IT enabled system and processes across the country in an incremental manner.

 
First Stage quick hits
 
  • Kick-start subscriber registration program and issue Unique Identification Numbers to subscribers.

  • Unique Business Number to existing covered employers in line with Income Tax PAN Number.

  • Electronic credit of payments to the individual subscriber's accounts in relation to pension payments and claim settlement in all offices where Reserve Bank of India provides such facility.

  • Electronic filing of returns by employers.


  • Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) for facilitating information to subscribers in relation to their pending claims.
  • Computer enabled DCB register to facilitate early default detection and intervention through computer assisted collection regime.
